Healing Animals
For those of us who have experienced having a pet, we would agree that animals are sentient, intelligent beings who understand human emotion. Not only do they understand emotions, but they have their own. Some experts would say animals are not capable of having emotions due to their survival instincts being their primary force, while this may be true, its important to understand that animals develop emotions around their experiences around survival. Meaning, if one animal, regardless of its primitive nature, has been environmentally exposed to either a more challenging or more relaxed environment, would alter the animals behavior and thus, "emotional expression".
Animals are primarily primitive, they have a strong sense of safety versus danger. They do not hesitate or resist their own compass the way humans would allow danger in the name of familiarity. Animals do however experience trauma that would alter their behaviour regardless of their environment changing, for example, a rescue dog or cat would not simply get over its trauma once they’ve been saved. Their behavior is permanently altered and may result in physical ailments if not energetically corrected. The same way a human would, however, they don’t have the same healing power as a human does. Energy healing for humans can work, however I don’t recommend it as much as I would for an animal because humans must make changes in their behavior for energy to fully “heal”, so even after a session of energy work a person may feel better but the pain will come back if the pattern was not broken. This is not the case for animals, since their sense of safety does not come from familiarity like a human. Their clear sense of safety versus danger allows them to avoid harm with precision. So providing a helpless animal with energy work would be tremendously helpful in providing an animal with full recovery of negative patterns in behavior. Animals may also absorb their owners (if they have any) energy towards them, others, or even the energy they may be experiencing at that moment. These factors are what comprise an animal’s unique personality, but are not always permanent as mentioned animals are very energetically sensitive and are thus reactive to their environments. This is why augury has been used for centuries, using the behavior of birds to determine energetic and temperature climates before logic could measure them was a tool used by great minds.
Now that we understand the nature of an animal’s behavior, in the event an animal experiences trauma and is then rescued, it's imperative to provide healing energy to the animal in order to transmute the energy stored in its emotional body that is causing them to behave defensively in non-proportionate situations to live a life more aligned to that specific animal’s essence as well as avoiding that negative energy converting into an illness.
